On International Women’s Day, ESKO India invited Specialist Guruji Franklin Joseph and Instructor Ms Krystal Joseph to conduct the Power To Women Corporate Self-Defence Workshops for Women Employees at ESKO India Bengaluru, covering Krav Maga Israeli Military Self-Defence alongside Psychological Leadership Empowerment, Stress Resilience and Crisis Management Training.
The session was delivered by two specialists. Instructor Ms Krystal Joseph of Franklin Joseph iTeachiPower.in led the practical instruction, whilst Specialist Guruji Franklin Joseph, CEO of the Indian Institute of Strategic Threat Intelligence Analysis and Combat Tactical Science, guided the strategic and psychological dimensions of the training. The workshop was simultaneously conducted for a live in-person audience and streamed online for ESKO India women working from home, ensuring complete inclusion across the organisation’s female workforce.
How the ESKO India Women’s Self-Defence Workshop Unfolded
Opening the Workshop: Understanding the Reality of Crime Against Women in India
The Power To Women Corporate Self-Defence Workshops for Corporate Women Professionals Across India commenced with a structured introduction to Krav Maga Self-Defence, the system developed and refined by the Israeli military for real-world threat scenarios. Specialist Guruji Franklin Joseph presented the most recent crime statistics to the women participants, demonstrating how crime against women is escalating at a rapid pace and why every woman must prepare herself psychologically and tactically for the possibility of a threatening encounter at least once in her lifetime.
In today’s modern world, a significant number of women in corporate settings remain disconnected from the lived reality of crime. After viewing accurate data and real-world context, the ESKO India participants were eager to learn how to protect themselves both tactically and mentally. Several women expressed initial self-consciousness about their size, strength, and fitness levels. They were relieved and genuinely surprised to learn that none of these factors are relevant to Krav Maga self-defence training, which is built on biomechanical principles accessible to every woman regardless of physical build.
Krav Maga Self-Defence Techniques Taught by Instructor Ms Krystal Joseph
Instructor Ms Krystal Joseph then introduced the participants to a series of practical Krav Maga self-defence techniques including single-hand grab release, double-hand grab release, and choke release, among others. Crucially, she explained the combat science underpinning each technique, highlighting the structural advantages women naturally possess through bone density and the ability to generate force through correct body mechanics rather than raw strength. This scientific framing immediately dismantled assumptions and replaced hesitation with genuine curiosity.
As the Power To Women Corporate Self-Defence Workshops for Women Across Technology and Engineering Corporates progressed through its practical modules, the scepticism that had been present at the start of the session was visibly replaced by confidence and enthusiasm. The women began to realise how quickly and effectively Krav Maga techniques could be learnt and applied, regardless of prior training experience. The session became highly interactive, with participants asking thoughtful questions that reflected a rapidly growing appetite for self-defence knowledge.
Focus Punching Mitts: Building Striking Skills and Releasing Stress
Inspired by the energy and commitment of the ESKO India participants, Instructor Ms Krystal Joseph introduced the ‘Focus Punching Mitts’ segment of the workshop. This component allowed the women to practise their punching and kicking skills in a controlled, energetic, and enjoyable format, while simultaneously releasing the stress that accumulates from awareness of rising crime against women. The response was immediate and enthusiastic. The women were so engaged with the striking drills that they volunteered for additional rounds, reflecting the broader purpose of these corporate wellness training and women’s empowerment workshop engagements: to build capability, release tension, and generate genuine confidence through action.
