It is a result of the manner in which I tackle the issue of women’s safety. Born into the New Delhi slums and exposed to sexual assault and violence at a young age, Franklin Joseph stated, “I try to empower the psychological aspect of safety much more than the martial aspect.” “When I was four years old, I was abused by girls who were six and nine years old. I was the victim of child abuse and violence.” It was a time when adolescents don’t engage in sexual activity.
“In order to triumph and improve myself after experiencing my own sexual abuse and violent history, I began reading up on empowerment. After 11 years, I left my position as a creative director to pursue a career as a social entrepreneur. I’ve started giving motivational speeches today as well,” he declared.
Franklin Joseph, who is 40 years old, lives in Dharwad and spends every weekend in Bangalore teaching Israeli self-defense techniques at Bengaluru center. “I trained in Delhi in the Israeli self-defense art of Krav Maga under the tutelage of legendary instructors like Master Vicky Kapoor and a few others. For the past eight years, I have been teaching these seminars through ‘Franklin Joseph Krav Maga Self Defense Academy’, where students receive training in military self-defense techniques and fundamental survival instincts. My primary source of revenue is from conducting Franklin Joseph Power To Women Corporate Self Defense Workshop with Psychological Women Empowerment on Warrior Leadership, Stress Resilience and Conflict Management Wellness Training,” Franklin Joseph said. “At first, it was challenging to persuade people about military strategies of action because they were more engaged in martial arts.” However, individuals are now recognizing its significance.”
Guruji Franklin Joseph (Dr Safety) believes that the rape event in Delhi could serve as a wake-up call. “We held marches by candlelight, and women began considering enrolling in self-defense courses. However, the psychological side means that even if the girl learns martial arts, she won’t be able to respond to the scenario, which is crucial and hasn’t been explored.”

Connecting out to colleges and schools is his next goal .
“I’ve analysed the trauma that women tell me about and found that, whether the harassment occurs at work or at home, the perpetrators are usually people the woman knows.” Most often, males that women know trick and prey on them. Therefore, it is always preferable to be psychologically ready,” the specialist in Krav Maga Self Defense said.
