I’m excited to talk about my amazing experience leading my first-ever corporate self-defense session at Larsen & Toubro Technology Services India for Franklin Joseph PowerToWomen.in ~ Corporate Krav Maga Self Defense Workshop with Psychological Leadership Empowerment, Stress Resilience & Crisis Management Training. Full of knowledge, empowerment, and a dash of real-world application, the day was absolutely amazing.
We began the Franklin Joseph PowerToWomen.in ~ Corporate Krav Maga Self Defense Workshop with Psychological Leadership Empowerment, Stress Resilience & Crisis Management Training with lively introductions to break the ice and create a good atmosphere for the day. I then went into detail about my iTeachiPower.in project, a website devoted to educating, mentoring, and developing leadership qualities in young girls and women. Thirty women employees from Larsen & Toubro Technology, ranging in age from their 20s to 60s, made up the amazing group of workshop participants who were Larsen & Toubro Technology Services India employees.
After concluding the introductions, we conducted a quick survey utilizing up-to-date crime statistics in India in an effort to spark meaningful conversation amongst the attendees. The discussion took an interesting turn at this point. As expected, a sizable percentage of the women disclosed insufficient or out-of-date knowledge on self-defense tactics and crime prevention measures.
The dialogue that took place throughout this survey prepared the basis for an enlightening talk about how important it is in today’s society to be knowledgeable about and prepared for practical self-defense techniques, particularly in light of the region’s prevailing crime patterns. Seeing how ready and open the participants were to absorb the insightful information and advice given throughout the course was eye-opening.
