ESKO India ~ Corporate Self Defense Workshop, Bengaluru
On International Women Day, the ESKO India organisation invited us to conduct a Franklin Joseph PowerToWomen.in ~ Corporate Krav Maga Self Defense Workshop with Psychological Leadership Empowerment, Stress Resilience & Crisis Management Training teaching Krav Maga Israeli Military Self Defense for their female employees. I, Krystal Joseph, Instructor, iTeachiPower.in, and my father, Specialist Guruji Franklin Joseph, CEO of the Indian Institute of Strategic Threat Intelligence Analysis and Combat Tactical Science, were the specialists chosen to train the women. We had to cater to both the physical audience and the live camera because it was also an online session for women working from home. The workshop began with an introduction to Krav Maga Self Defence, which was developed by the Israeli military. We asked the women participants about the most recent crime statistics and demonstrated how crime is now escalating at a rapid pace and how we must prepare ourselves both psychologically and tactically for the possibility of crime occurring at least once in our lifetime.
In today’s modern world, the majority of the women were out of touch with the concept of crime. They were eager to learn how to protect themselves tactically in such situations after seeing the reality of what crime has evolved into. Some women were self-conscious about their size, strength, and fitness levels, but were relieved to learn that such concerns were unimportant in Krav Maga self-defence training. Ms. Krystal Joseph then explained Krav Maga self-defence techniques such as single-hand grab release, double-hand grab release, choke release, and so on. She also emphasised the combat science behind the tactics, which emphasised the woman’s stronger bones and ability to generate strength and force through simple science.
Moving further into the Franklin Joseph PowerToWomen.in ~ Corporate Krav Maga Self Defense Workshop with Psychological Leadership Empowerment, Stress Resilience & Crisis Management Training, Specialist Guruji Franklin Joseph and Ms. Krystal Joseph then began practising the Krav Maga Self Defence tactics, and the women’s scepticism quickly turned to awe at how simple and quick the Krav Maga Self Defence tactics were to learn. They were also getting used to the training and were enthusiastic despite their size and strength issues. This newfound knowledge piqued their interest, and they began to ask numerous questions. We were delighted to answer their questions, making it a highly interactive corporate workshop.
Ms Krystal Joseph was inspired by the women’s strong desire to learn more and introduced them to the ‘Focus Punching Mitts,’ which allow the women to practise their punching and kicking skills while also relieving stress caused by rising crime against women. They were having so much fun striking the ‘Focus Punching Mitts’ that they signed up for another round of punching. We were also given some snacks… it was nice to have a relaxing break after a good Krav Maga Self Defense session.
